Salary
Gamma-Dynacare compensates its employees in a fair and equitable manner,
recognizing a positions relative worth to the company, the
positions value in the marketplace and an employees individual
contribution to the success of the company.
Gamma-Dynacare also recognizes a new employees relevant, recent external
work experience so that the employee can be compensated accordingly. This helps
us attract and retain the highest calibre of employees. Wage and benefit
surveys are conducted regularly to ensure that we maintain a competitive total
compensation package.
Part-Time Schedules
When part-time schedules are available, employees work a regular, predictable
work week, up to a maximum of 24 hours per week. Part-time employees are
eligible to participate in many of the programs offered by the company.
Holidays and Vacations
Gamma-Dynacares holiday and vacation policy is very flexible. The company
provides a number of paid holidays during the year. In addition to paid
holidays, all full- and part-time employees are eligible for allotted paid
vacation days. Paid vacation time is based on tenure with Gamma-Dynacare. After
one year with the company, employees are eligible for three weeks
vacation. Employees are eligible for four weeks after five years and five weeks
after 15 years.
Group Benefits
Gamma-Dynacare offers an extremely competitive group benefits plan for all
full-time employees that includes extended health, dental, long-term
disability, life, accidental death and dismemberment, and business travel
insurance.
Extended Health Plan
Gamma-Dynacares extensive Extended Health Plan includes coverage for
prescription drugs, hospital, vision care and less common claims such as
physiotherapy, chiropractic care, the services of social workers, blood glucose
monitoring machines and home nursing.
Dental Plan
The Gamma-Dynacare Dental Plan offers coverage for reasonable and customary
dental expenses associated with basic preventive and restorative dentistry,
extractions, endodontics and periodontics.
Supplemental Employment Benefit
Gamma-Dynacare knows that with a new arrival in the family it can be a
challenge to enjoy this most important time with your child and balance
the economic factors associated with time away from work. In support of
our employees' personal and family lives, we offer a Supplemental
Employment Benefit plan to eligible employees during the first 17
weeks of their leave. This program provides top-up income benefits to
75% of weekly earnings for a maximum period of 15 weeks.
Disability
If an employee becomes sick or disabled and is unable to perform her or his job,
its important that there be a source of income to help meet financial
needs. Gamma-Dynacare provides disability coverage through our long-term
disability insurance plan.
Life and Accident Insurance
A death or serious accident can jeopardize a familys financial security.
To help protect against this, Gamma-Dynacare offers four important life and
accident insurance plans:

Retirement Plan
Through our Savings and Retirement Plans, employees have the opportunity to
build retirement savings by contributing a portion of their pay to the plan.
Employees can generally contribute between 1% and 18% of their pre-tax pay and
are eligible to participate in most Savings and Retirement Plans after
completion of their three-month probationary period. The company fully matches
up to 3% of the employees base salary contributions.
Financial Planning
This program is designed to address the financial issues employees face every
day. We help answer questions about investments, retirement and estate
planning, life insurance, education funding and home purchasing. This program
is made available to employees through our Group Retirement Plan provider.
Employee Assistance Program
To support the health and well-being of Gamma-Dynacare employees and their
families, an informal Employee Assistance Program has been established at each
Gamma-Dynacare location. Referrals are designed to provide resources and
short-term, confidential counselling when employees or their family members are
experiencing personal problems.
Service Award Program
Gamma-Dynacares Service Award Program is a tangible expression of our
appreciation for continuous service. We view our employees as partners, and we
strive to build a great working experience and workplace environment for each
one. Honouring long-term service and loyalty is a measure of the success of
that commitment.
Awards are presented at various milestones from five to 40 years of service, and
for retirement at age 65 with at least 10 years of service.
