Our Diagnostic Cytology Department

Gamma-Dynacare cytotechnologists and technicians process several hundred thousand specimens per year. We pride ourselves in offering cytotechnologists the best working conditions available by placing special emphasis on the ergonomics of each workstation and on the high quality of the microscopes and other equipment used. Beyond that, with 11 Gamma-Dynacare laboratories to choose from, we offer unparalleled flexibility.

Your work will be performed using high-quality microscopes and specially designed ergonomic workstations. Ninety-five percent of your work will be liquid-based. You will input your findings into our user-friendly computer system, which is linked to CytoBase, a central, Ontario-wide database that records patient histories regardless of where previous tests were performed.

As a Gamma-Dynacare cytotechnologist, you will have 11 cytology laboratories in Ontario to choose from, all offering flexible hours and shifts. You will enjoy flexibility in your laboratory work, too, analyzing a mix of gynaecological and non-gynaecological patient samples.
