Quality Assurance

Gamma-Dynacare is committed to excellence and takes all necessary measures to ensure superior quality.

Gamma-Dynacare has implemented a Quality Management System to ensure that essential programs are in place to address the needs of our clients. The concerns of clients are identified and addressed through client surveys and preventative and corrective action programs. Processes are proactively monitored using quality indicators and internal quality audits.

Gamma-Dynacare incorporates an extensive in-house Quality Control program into the routine analysis of all tests in order to verify analytical performance. Tests are carefully monitored for sensitivity, precision, accuracy and linearity.

The Quality Management Program – Laboratory Services (QMPLS) instituted by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) and managed by the Ontario Medical Association regularly validates our laboratory assay quality through its External Proficiency Testing Program.

For many years, Gamma-Dynacare has participated in the College of American Pathologists’ (CAP) Laboratory Improvement Program. All three of Gamma-Dynacare’s main Ontario-based testing laboratories hold the highest level of accreditation offered by the College – each laboratory is “Accredited with Distinction.” Gamma-Dynacare also holds Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) accreditation.

Gamma-Dynacare’s Forensic Toxicology Laboratory is fully accredited by the Research Triangle Institute National Laboratory Certification Program for the United States Department of Health and Human Services and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

Our Director of Quality Management Programs – Ontario recently received the Bob Cardno Award from the American Society for Quality.
