About Gamma-Dynacare: Our Role in the
Health Care System |

More than 70% of the diagnoses made by clinicians are influenced or based upon the results of medical diagnostic tests. While our services are therefore fundamental to our community-based clinician clients, they also extend to hospitals, Community Care Access Centres, community health centres, long-term care facilities, nursing homes, Ontario’s public health laboratories and other private laboratories. To best meet the needs of Canadians, we work closely with governments and other key stakeholders to find meaningful solutions to health care issues and challenges. At the Forefront of Diagnostic Testing Gamma-Dynacare’s team of scientists and laboratorians is continuously examining and qualifying new tests and informing clinicians and the general public of their availability. We have been instrumental in the early delivery of several high-profile tests and technologies. We also work with the world’s leading diagnostics, pharmaceutical and biotechnology firms in their quest to develop new tests and drugs to better diagnose and treat disease. |

Gamma-Dynacare plays an essential role in the health care system, supporting
thousands of physicians, nurse practitioners and midwives in the prevention and
diagnosis of disease and in the treatment of patients. Clinicians rely on us
for efficient collection and transportation of specimens, accurate testing and
timely reporting of results. Each year Gamma-Dynacare performs millions of
tests using state-of-the-art instrumentation and the collective expertise and
dedication of our highly trained technologists, technicians, scientists and
